What a week! / Que semana!

This week was the first one we spent as our family, by ourselves! Grandma Maria went back to Brazil and Antonio started at the day care. It wasn't as hard as thought, but the anxiety of having our little boy (so little he is) in a place with other children and some teacher he's never met before was sort of upsetting!

On Monday morning we went to his day care. Everybody! Grandma Maria was heading to the airport right after that and she cried when she had to leave him there. The fact is that she never cried when put me or my sister at the school, but at this time, she did...

Claudia, obviously, cried too and I was the one that had to hand him over to the teacher. My heart was sort of broken too, but I held my tears, took a deep breath and gave him away!

He is improving every day...He cries a lot, of course and his throat was a little bit sore because of that, but he already recognizes his eacher (Ms Yordanka) and smiles at her, which is a good sign! There are days he sleeps, and days he doesn't...same goes for eating and drinking his milk!

Claudia went there everyday at lunch time, and when he sees her, he starts laughing as he's really happy to see her there!

On Friday - the last day - he was a little feverish and we were worried he'd be sick...Thanks God, it was a false alarm...the fever went away with medicine and he's happier than ever!
Also, on Friday, I got my Green Card and no longer have to be asking for visas to live or come into this country...Claudia will arrive soon too! This is good news!

Later, I'll tell more...

Rogerio, Claudia & Antonio
