Picking up the pace!

I am barely back and already have a lot of things to do. After we decided the baby's bedroom style (that'll be white and blue with boyish theme - very original), I realized I will have to paint, disassemble old furniture and assemble the new ones, rebuild the bedroom's closet to make room to the baby's stuff. That may sound simple, but it impact the entire house, since whatever is inside that bedroom has to go to somewhere else. With that said, I'll probably have to touch other closets and existing spaces too. The bathroom will be re-decorated for our son.
I'll post some pictures soon. I just haven't because I've moved my computer to another room and haven't had the time to download them there...hopefully by the next weekend.

Claudia is starting to get more tired as the days pass by. Her belly is really big and our son kicks the whole day, according to her. It's a shame I still can't feel it.
So, what about the names below? Did you like them?

Aumentando o ritmo!

Mal voltei e ja percebi o tamanho do trabalho em casa. Depois que decidimos o estilo do quartinho (branco e azul com temas de menino - bem original), percebi que vou ter de: pintar todo o quarto, desmontar os moveis atuais e montar os novos, refazer todo o "closet" do quarto pras coisas do bebe. Parece simples, mas isto tem efeito no restante da casa, ja que tudo que esta naquele quarto tem de sair e ir pra algum outro lugar. Logo, vou ter de mudar outras partes da casa tambem. O banheiro tambem vai ser re-decorado pro nosso filho. Devo postar umas fotos esse fimd de semana...so nao fiz porque mudei o computador de lugar e ainda nao tive de fazer o "download" delas.

Claudia ja tem ficado mais cansada do que o normal. A barriga esta bem grande e nosso filho chuta o dia inteiro de acordo com ela. Uma pena que ainda nao posso senti-lo.
E a respeito dos nomes? Gostaram?

Daddy's back home!!!

I arrived at home yesterday evening after an 8-hour flight. A smooth one!
The trip was good. I could see almost all my family and friends. Ate some good Brazilian food, drank some good Brazilian beer and took a bunch of pictures.
I met all my friends new babies. I saw Dan (Alexandra and Raquel's) which is a smiley pal, Bruna (Bico and Livia's) the most beautiful gal, Renan (James and Vivi's) who will be born in late October.
Also, we received tons of gifts and none was to either me or Claudia. All of them, for the baby...which, by the way still doesn't have a name. Our baby's grandparents, aunts and uncle are crazy about him. They can't wait to get to know him
Claudia is more beautiful than before and our baby is kicking more than ever. It's now about 16 weeks to go, which reminds me that we have to get back on track to prepare his bedroom.

Papai esta de volta!!!

Cheguei ontem a tarde apos um voo de 8 horas. Bem tranquilo!
A viagem foi boa. Pude ver quase toda a minha familia e amigos. Comi uma boa comidinha brasileira, bebi uma boa cervejinha brasileira e tirei um monte de fotos. Tambem conheci todos os novos bebes do pedaco. O Dan, um carinha bem simpatico, Bruna que eh lindinha e o Renan que vai nascer no fim de outubro.
Ainda, ganhamos um monte de presente. Nenhum pra mim ou pra Clau. So pro bebe...que alias, ainda nao tem nome. Os avos, tias e tio estao bobos. Eles nao aguentam esperar por ele.
A Claudia esta mais bonita que antes e o bebe chutando mas do que nunca. Temos aproximadamente 16 semanas ate o nascimento, o que me faz lembrar que preciso voltar a preparar o quarto do bebe.

Brazil, here I come!

As some of you may know, tonight I'll fly down to Brazil for a 10-day trip. I'll go to solve some personal issues - nothing serious - that need to be solved. I go now, because Claudia's belly is big, but not so big and she can handle this short period of time.
The bad side is I'll have to leave 2 thirds of my heart here in Miami, which is not so easy to me...
The good side is I'll be able to gather all the little presents people down there are giving to our little boy and see our family and friends for real (not online)!
Well, I'll try to post as often as I've in the next 10 days, but if I can't please forgive me. I can guarantee that when I'm back there will tons of things to say and post! Such as the baby's room development and his name - which we still don't have!

Como alguns de voces sabem, vou ao Brazil passar 10 dias pra resolver uns assuntos pessoais que precisam ser resolvidos - nada serio. Melhor ir agora do que quando a Clau estiver muito mais barriguda!
O lado ruim eh ter de deixar 2 tercos de mim aqui em Miami. Nao eh facil...
O lado bom eh que vou poder coletar todos os presentes que nosso filho ja tem e ver nossa familia e amigos de perto!
Bom, vou tentar postar na mesma frequencia, mas senao der me perdoem. Garanto que quando eu voltar vou ter muita coisa pra contar, como o quarto do bebe e obvio o nome do pimpolho!

See the picture above and figure it out by yourself! I'm pretty sure you're able to.

I'll leave a tip, though: Imagine the baby is sitting in a chair and you are underneath it, looking up.

Agora voces vao saber

Depois de uns dias mostrando fotos de ultra-som e ensinando como interpreta-las, voces podem saber o sexo de nosso bebe.
Veja a foto acima e decubra voce mesmo! Tenho certeza que voce consegue.
Aqui vai uma dica: Imagina que o bebe esta sentado numa cadeira e voce esta embaixo dela olhando pra cima.

The best picture

Our ultra-sound session was amazing. We could see the baby's little body and even some details like never before...
There was a moment when the doctor was filming the baby's legs and we could see them kicking at the same time. Both of them! Even the doctor was amazed by those kicks and said: It's really kicking, huh?
That was fun, but the best moment was when we saw the baby bringing her/his little thumb to her/his mouth and started sucking. This is the cutest picture so far! Look at it yourself...

A melhor foto

Nossa sessao de ultrasom foi demais. Nos vimos o corpo do bebe como nunca antes...
Em determinado momento, a medica estava filmando as duas perninhas e o bebe chutava as duas sem parar. Ate a medica ficou maravilhada e comentou o quanto estava chutando!
Isso foi legal, mas o melhor momento foi quando vimos o bebe trazer seu dedinho pra boca e comecou a chupar! A melhor foto, ate agora...veja voce mesmo!

As promised...

we will show you a couple of ultra-sound pictures before telling our baby's sex, so you can get familiarized with this type of picture. I have to confess that I've never understood them in the past, but now they are crystal clear.
I'll post the same picture twice, being one the original one and another outlined to give you an idea of what it looks like.
The first picture is the baby's face and the second one, is the baby's body. The bones are easier to see than the organs, but the doctor was able to see kidneys, stomach, heart, etc...which I wasn't.

Conforme o prometido...

estamos mostrando algumas fotos do ultra-som antes de falar o sexo do bebe, entao voces vao se acostumando a interpreta-las. Eu mesmo nunca tinha entendido uma foto dessas, mas agora sim!
Vou postar a mesma foto duas vezes. A original e uma contornada que vai te dar uma nocao melhor do bebe.
A primeira foto eh o rosto do bebe e a segunda, o corpo. Os ossos se sobressaem em relacao aos orgaos internos, mas a medica conseguir ver ate os rins, etomago, coracao, etc...coisa que eu nao consegui!

We know it....but ain't giving that away so easily

Well, yesterday we went to the doctor, had our ultra-sound and could see what our baby's sex. Claudia was thrilled and so was I. The baby looks normal and the ultra-sound was very detailed. The doctor looked at every single piece to learn size, shape and strength.

Although we know it and you may be anxious about it, we've decided we won't tell it right away...We think you'll have to understand something before we tell you, like how to read an ultra-sound picture - stuff you just learn when you're pregnant. All we can promise is that we will post a new entry everyday until the day we finally tell you the baby's sex. So, please bear with us!

Ja sabemos....mas nao vamos contar tao facilmente assim

Ontem fomos ao medico, fizemos o ultra-som e finalmente descobrimos o sexo do bebe. Claudia estava muito feliz assim como eu. O bebe esta normal e o exame foi bem detalhado. A medica tirou fotos de cada pedacinho do bebe e avaliou o tamanho, formato e forca de cada um.

Embora, ja sabemos e voces devem estar ansiosos por saber, decidimos nao contar antes de explicar algumas coisinhas antes, por exemplo, como interpretar uma foto de ultra-som - coisa que so se aprende quando se esta gravido. Tudo que posso prometer eh que vou postar todos os dias ate la. Entao, continue conosco...

Primeiramente, gostaria de mostrar o resultado final de nossa pesquisa. Veja acima:
