Sweet Halloween!!!

Well, after being threatened to death right on Halloween (by somebdoy you will know below) and still being at work at 9:00PM, I decided I should post a couple of pictures...
First, you can see how Claudia is getting bigger. She feels a lot of pain (all kinds) and her feet are very swollen too...the baby kicks stronger every day and his bedroom is still empty!!! Hope she'll hang on until January when he's supposed to come. The other picture is a couple friend of ours with his new baby: Bruno...he scared the hell out their parents (Marcia and Edson), by being born 2 months earlier than the expected. Also, Marcia scared ME to death, because I went to Brazil, met Bruno, took this picture and forgot to mention that on this very blog! Sorry, Marcia! May God bless you and your beautiful family!

Doce dia das bruxas!!!
Depois de ter sido ameacado de morte bem no Dia das Bruxas (por quem vcs vao saber ja ja) e ainda ter de trabalhar ate as 21:00, decidi postar umas fotos...
Primeiro, olha como a Clau ta ficando grande. Ela sente varias dores (de todos os tipos) e seus pes estao bem inchados tambem...o bebe chuta cada dia mais forte e o quartinho continua vazio!!! Espero que ela e ele aguentem ate Janeiro. Na outra foto, um casal de amigos com seu mais novo bebe: Bruno...Ele assustou seus pais (Marcia e Edson) quando decidiu nascer de 7 meses e a Marcia, assustou a MIM, depois que eu fui ao Brasil, conheci o Bruno, bati essa foto e esqueci de menciona-los nesse blog! Foi mal, Marcia melecona! Que Deus abencoe a sua bonita familia.

What name?
People are always asking us about the name of our son and since I am the one assigned to such important task I've decided to explain a few things about the "delay" of that.
1. We have actually till the day our son is born to choose a name and I believe that looking at his face may give me an idea of a proper name;
2. Choosing somebody's name is a great responsibility. His character and personality will be linked to that name forever;
3. As already explained, due to the fact that he will have double citizenship (American and Brazilian) we have to pick a name that people can, at least, pronounce properly in both countries;

Hopefully that will explain a little bit about this "delay" and in the meantime, I have created a poll so people can vote on a probable name. What I can guarantee is that his name will likely be one among of the six within that poll, but can't guarantee will be the poll's winner.
So, YOU enjoy naming our son and wait to know whether your pick will be ours too.

Qual nome?
Todo mundo sempre pergunta qual sera o nome do nosso filho e ja que EU fui escolhido pra tal missao, decidi explicar o motivo do "atraso".
1. Nos temos ate o dia do nascimento pra escolher e as vezes, olhando pro rostinho dele passamos a ter ideia de um nome pra ele;

2. Escolher o nome de alguem eh uma imensa responsabilidade. A personalidade dele vai estar atrelada a esse nome pra sempre;
3. Como ja expliquei antes, ja que ele vai ter dupla cidadania (Americana e Brasileira), precisamos escolher um nome que as pessoas vao, ao menos, pronunciar corretamente em ambos paises.
Espero que isso de alguma explicacao a voces e enquanto isso eu criei uma pesquisa pra voces votaram no nome que mais gostam. O que eu garanto eh que o nome deve ser um desses 6 da lista, mas nao garanto que o ganhador sera o escolhido.
Entao aproveite pra dar um nome pro nosso filho voces e espere pra saber se o teu voto tambem eh o nosso.

Tired already?

I am very tired. I worked a lot this week and still had to finish painting my son's bedroom...It is beautiful and when we start bringing some furniture in, I will post a picture of it.
On Wednesday we went to see the doctor and she said everything looks fine and she measured Claudia's belly and said that the baby is going to be a big boy....I think he will be born with 3 months already, due to how big she is.

Tomorrow, I will paint our kitchen. I will get rid of the whiteness and put some red on the walls...I can show you a picture too.

This week I talked to my grandmother who had her first great-grandson last week. My cousin, Marcos had his first baby - Luis Henrique - and is thrilled about that. I talked to him yesterday!
In December another one is coming and in January ours...My grandma will be great-grandmother three times at once.

Ja cansado?

Cansei. Essa semana trabalhei muito e ainda tive de terminar de pintar o quarto do nosso filho. Ficou legal, ate! Quando tiver uns moveis eu boto uma fotinho aqui pra voces!
Quarta-feira fomos ao medico e ela disse que esta tudo bem e pelo tamanho da barriga da Clau ela disse que nosso filho deve nascer grandinho...Acho que ele vai nascer com uns 3 meses dado o tamanho da barriga da Clau.
Amanha, vou pintar a cozinha e acabar com aquela branquidao pra por um vermelho.
Ah..essa semana falei com minha vo que se tornou bisavo semana passada. Meu primo, Marcos teve seu primeiro filho - Luis Henrique - e esta super feliz. Falei com ele ontem! Em dezembro outro bisneto esta vindo e em Janeiro o nosso bebe...Minha avo vai ser bisavo 3 vezes de uma tacada so.

As promised....

I am posting Claudia's latest picture so you can see how big she is!
According to Babycenter, the baby is 13 inches long and is growin by the minute now. He has hair and that makes Claudia's hair to be more strong and beautiful too.

This weekend I painted his bedroom. All white...and hang some tapes to mark the position of the blue border we will paint too! Hopefully it will be ready next weekend. Besides that, we've decided to change our kitchen's color. It will be red!

estou postando uma foto atualizada da Claudia e voces poem ver o tamanho dela!
De acordo com o Babycenter, o bebe tem uns 35 centimetros e cresce a cada minuto. Ja tem cabelo, o que faz o cabelo da Claudia fiar mais forte e mais bonito tambem.
Este fim de semana pintei o quarto dele. Tudo branco...e passei umas fitas pra marcar onde vai ser a borda azul! Ate o fim de semana que vem acho que termino. Alem disso, decidimos mudar a cor da nossa cozinha. Vermelho!

So much to tell and no time to breath!!!
First I want to apologize for not being as frequent as I was, but I have some "excuses", that will also tell you what we've have been going through these last 2 weeks.

1. Claudia went to her monthly doctor's visit last week and she had her blood pressure a little bit higher than normal. Then, the doctor sent her to the ER to have it lowered. Nothing serious and according to the nurse this is common during pregnancy, but no normal. So, I've been taking her BP daily and unbelievably it's been lower than it's supposed to. Nothing to worry about, just to pay attention to.
2. I have emptied the office-bedroom and threw so many junk away that I even knew I had. That took us two days. More difficult than cleaning things up, is deciding on what should go or stay.
3. Also, on Sunday I painted the closet - already empty - with new white color, so the baby's clothings will be on a neat closet. And, on Monday I re-built the shelves system. It took me the enitre afternoon.

Our son kicks a lot, but I still can't sense it, but am anxious about it. Hoppefuly, this month...Claudia is feeling more tired every day and her feet look like a baseball...hehehe
I'll post her latest picture this next weekend...I promise!
Today - October 12th - we celebrated our 4th anniversary, which means we've been together for 14 years now!
Today is also the day of Brazil's patron saint - Our lady of Aparecida. May she continue blessing our marriage as well as our new family!

Tanto pra contar e sem tempo de respirar!!!
Antes de tudo, quero me desculpar por nao ter postado ultimamente, mas eu tenho umas "desculpas", que tambem servirao de assunto sobre essas duas ultimas semanas.
1. Claudia foi ao medico, semana passada e a pressao sanguinea estava um pouco alta. O medico pediu que ela fosse ao pronto socorro pra ver se baixava. Nada serio and conforme a enfermeira, sao sintomas comuns, mas nao normais. Desde entao,eu tiro a pressao dela diariamente e por incrivel que pareca, tem estado ate um pocuo abaixo do normal. Nada pra se preocupar, mas pra prestar atencao.
2. Esvazei o quarto-escritorio and joguei tanta coisa fora que nem sabia que tinha. So isso me tomou 2 dias. Mais dificil doque limpar eh decidir o que jogar fora!
3. Tambem, no domingo eu pintei o closet - ja vazio - bem branquinho pra que as roupas do bebe estejam num lugar caprichado. E, segunda-feira eu refiz todas prateleiras do closet. Durante a tarde toda.
Nosso filho chuta pacas, mas eu ainda nao sinto, apesar de nao ver a hora. Quem sabe esse mes...Claudia tem ficado mais cansado ultimamente e seus pes parecem uma bolinha de baseball...hehehe
Vou postar uma foto atualizada esse fim de semana. Prometo!
Hoje - 12 de outubro - completamos 4 anos de casado, o que no final das contas da 14 anos juntos!
Hoje tambem eh o dia da padroeira do Brasil - Nsa. Senhora Aparecida. Que Ela continue abencoando nosso casamento e nossa familia!

Foreseeing the future based on the past!

Since many people ask me to post my pictures - although I feel the mother is the most beautiful person in this whole process - during my trip down to Brazil I stole my pictures from my mother, so you all can see how I looked like when I was a baby, and hopefully try to imagine how the baby will be...and I must explain that it is Claudia that says the first child always take up to the father! Ja que muita gente pede pra eu postar minhas fotos - apesar de achar que eh a mae quem fica mais bonita nesse processo todo - durante minha viagem ao Brasil eu roubei umas fotos minhas da minha mae pra que voces possa saber como eu era quando bebe, e de repente, imaginar como nosso filho vai ser...e importante justificar dizendo que eh a Claudia quem diz que o primeiro filho se parece mais com o pai! Se houver protestos, nos vamos tentar achar umas fotos da Clau enquanto bebe tambem! Divirta-se!
